Overview

This signature project for Mayer Construction required full structural renovation, a luxury internal fitout and collaborations with some of London’s leading interior designers.

To elevate Hamilton Terrace to the high specification the client was seeking, our teams carried out an initial £0.5m of hard and soft landscaping. This work featured a reduced level dig, waterproofing techniques that included a new concrete slab, the installation of an irrigation system and the construction of mass concrete retaining walls.

Moving to the £3.5m interior refurbishment, we installed two swimming pools, a sauna, steam rooms, a gym, a car lift and two passenger lifts in the basement. Throughout the property our teams installed complex mechanical and electrical systems on a commercial scale, including a Lutron lighting system, a Crestron operating system and major distribution form both new plant rooms.

Our project managers oversaw a two-stage handover process to accommodate the work of top designers including Fiona Barrett Campbell, Clive Cristian, Taylor Howes, Nina Campbell and Laura Hammett. By collaborating with these specialists, we worked within a tight programme to launch a ‘Holiday Houses’ exhibition while external and basement works could continue at the same time.
